Our Worship Band
The FUMC Worship Band is a group of dedicated and multi-talented volunteers who serve & worship God through leading others in worship. There is great diversity in the band among the members and the sound. Some of the members are classically trained musicians and others are self taught. On any given Sunday there could be brass, strings, classical guitar, electric guitar, piano, acoustic guitar and other sounds. The music played ranges from the most contemporary Christian worship songs to favorite hymns arranged with a fresh sound to classical worship choruses sung for generations. Manny Mestas, a professional guitarist and instructor with years of worship leading experience leads the band.
When you join us for worship lead by the band you will find a fun and relaxed atmosphere, people who are passionate about bringing a contemporary and relevant sound into the church for a new generation, songs you have heard on the radio and music that is easy to sing. The music of the Worship Band creates a setting where the presence of God can be experienced and the proclamation of the Gospel can be heard and lived.
